Looking for a Travefy alternative? Read this first
We make a competing product, so read this with that in mind. The honest answer is that most advisors looking at us should keep Travefy — it does jobs we do not do at all. This is about the one it does not do.
Let us get the awkward part out of the way. Ivory Maps is an itinerary builder for travel advisors, so we are one of the alternatives you are shopping for. You should assume we are biased and check anything here that matters to you.
What follows is still worth reading, because most “Travefy alternative” pages are a feature grid with every box ticked in one column, and that grid has never once helped anybody decide anything.
Here is the conclusion first, so you can stop reading if it settles it. Travefy runs your back office. It holds your client list, your proposals, your invoices and your commissions, and it is good at all of that. We do none of it. What we do is the deliverable itself — the page the client actually opens — built from the confirmations you already have rather than typed into a form. For most advisors those are two different jobs, and the sensible move is not to replace one with the other.
What Travefy is actually good at
Travefy is not a weak product, and if someone tells you otherwise they are selling you something. It has been the itinerary tool most host agencies recommend for years, it was named the top itinerary builder by Host Agency Reviews three years running, and it reviews well with the advisors who use it daily.
More to the point, it is a suite. Itineraries, proposals, a CRM, marketing tools, invoicing, and mobile apps for iPhone, iPad and Android, all in one subscription. At the time of writing (August 2026) its published entry price is around $39 a month, or roughly $31 billed annually — check their site, because that moves.
If your client list lives in Travefy's CRM, if you send proposals and collect payment through it, or if your host agency trains on it and supports it, that is a genuinely strong position. Replacing a suite with a single-purpose tool means finding homes for the other pieces.
The three reasons advisors actually go looking
In our experience the search almost never starts with “I want cheaper.” It starts with one of these.
1. Building the itinerary still takes an evening
Every itinerary builder on the market — ours included, until recently — is a form. You have the airline email, the hotel voucher, and the operator's half-finished PDF, and you retype all of it into fields. The software formats what you type. It does not read what you already have.
That is the specific thing Ivory Maps was built to remove: you drop in the documents and get the finished page back. It is also the honest reason to look at us at all. If that is not your bottleneck, the rest of this article is not for you.
2. Everything you send looks like everyone else's
Widely-used templates are widely recognised. Advisors who compete on being more considered than the online booking sites eventually notice that their deliverable looks like the deliverable from the advisor down the road, because it is.
3. You are paying for a suite and using a third of it
Plenty of advisors already run their client list in a spreadsheet, or in their host's own CRM, and use Travefy purely to make the itinerary look good. That is a real reason to reprice, though be careful you are not just moving the cost.
What we do and do not do
Ivory Maps builds the itinerary. It is not a suite: there is no CRM, no invoicing, no marketing tools and no mobile app. If those are the parts of Travefy you rely on, keep them. We are not asking you to give them up, and a page that told you to would be asking you to take on a migration to solve a formatting problem.
The one job we are built for
- You do not build the itinerary. Upload the documents you already have and the page assembles itself — days, hotels, transfers, real photographs of the actual places, and a route map.
- You can start before anything is booked. Write a brief — destination, length, who is travelling, what they like — and get a full draft to send. That is the trip you have not sold yet, which is the one that needs help.
- It is your brand, not ours. Your logo, your colours, your contact details, and a choice of page designs so your work does not look like a template.
- There is a free trial. 7 days, on any plan. Travefy publishes no free trial, which means the only way to know if it fits is to buy it.
- Starter is $29 a month and every plan can be tried before it bills — which is small enough to sit alongside what you already pay rather than having to replace it.
Four questions to ask any alternative
- Can I get my work out? If you cannot export a PDF of a finished itinerary, you are renting your own deliverables. (We export PDFs.)
- What happens to live client links if I stop paying? Ask directly, and ask about travellers who are mid-trip.
- How long does one real itinerary take, start to finish? Not the demo trip. One of yours, with your worst supplier's worst PDF.
- Who does my client think sent this? Open the finished page and look for the vendor's name.
Do not switch. Add.
Migrating a client list is a week of work and a month of small breakages, and nobody should sign up for that to find out whether their itineraries could look better. There is a version of this that costs you an hour.
Take one upcoming trip you have already built in Travefy. Rebuild it here, put the two pages side by side, and decide which one you would rather send. Keep Travefy doing everything else it does. If the answer is no, you have lost an hour and no data has moved anywhere.
You can do that without an account and without a card.
If you would rather see finished work first, the examples are complete itineraries, not screenshots. Paid plans include a 7-day free trial, and your itineraries stay yours either way.
Travefy facts above were checked in August 2026 against publicly listed pricing and third-party review sites. Pricing and features change — verify anything you are deciding on.
